Professional Touch Cleaners Have the Right Touch

By Jake Levin

Rightfully so, Michael Suh is proud of the 99 percent success rate he and his staff have at Professional Touch Cleaners in Norwalk, Conn.

Suh is the owner of the company and takes great pride in what separates his business from its competitors: quality.

"Whether cleaning a couture suit from a high-end designer, or preserving a wedding gown, or even restoring clothes for a family from a fire, we have 30-plus years of industry know-how in fabrications to truly deliver top quality results," Suh said.

Professional Touch Cleaners has implemented a proprietary inspection system for ensuring quality control. This is in large part why Suh and his staff are able to fix 99 percent of the garments that come through the doorways of his shop at 126 New Canaan Ave.

A fire and water restoration division, which Suh said he's not sure if people realize exist at Professional Touch Cleaners, is devoted solely to restoring clothes for residential families that have suffered fire and water damage.

"Part of our success has been that we've employed highly-trained restoration staff to run this division with specialized experience," Suh said. "For example, from the moment we receive loss notification, we respond around-the-clock and initiate the restoration process."

Extreme pressure doesn't faze the staff at Professional Touch Cleaners, which has a systematic process of conducting a thorough inspection of the damaged property and taking inventory of damaged items, after which the items are sorted and bagged for safekeeping during delivery to restoration facilities. The process of itemizing each item with sophisticated technology has been perfected over the last 30 years in business, according to Suh.

Professional Touch Cleaners also has a variety of corporate partners in the area, such as Hilton Garden Inn, Dolce Hotels and Hotel Zero Degrees. Suh works closely with these partners to provide same-day dry cleaning services to hotel guests.

"We always strive to partner with complimentary businesses in the area and welcome the opportunity to work with both new and established hotels in Fairfield County," Suh said.

Professional Touch Cleaners is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They're located 126 New Canaan Avenue in Norwalk and can contacted, via email, at info@ptcnorwalk.com.
