LCI Caterers Brings Delicious Food and Flair to Events Catering

By S. Mathur

LCI is not your typical caterer. Reflecting the diversity of the service area, which covers Bridgeport, New York City and the rest of the tri-state area, they offer food from many different backgrounds. They also do a mean barbecue.

"Our catering menu is a mixture of modern inventive foods and the classic traditional," Owner and chef Joseph Cutolo said. "Because we have been catering for over 20 years we have learned to adapt and expand our menu to keep with the times. But in the same breath keeping with the old school traditional flavors."

The full service catering company offers a range of menus for different occasions and tastes. Traditional foods might include a menu that serves up a hot buffet with favorites like Rigatoni filleto de pomadoro, linguini with clam sauce, red or white, Bow Tie with Chicken and Sausage in Garlic Wine Sauce or Pasta Primavera. For something meatier there's the delicious sirloin tips w/ mushroom & onions, grilled pork cutlets and salmon in a lemon dill and caper sauce, as well as salads and desserts.

Clients will testify that the food tastes as good as it sounds. International foods include curry chicken and carne guisada, Spanish rice and plantanos maduro.

"Our start was Italian," Cutolo said. "Today we have expanded our menu from traditional Italian, European, Caribbean, Spanish, Asian, Mediterranean, and have recently have dabbled in some Arabic delights catering several halal weddings." In fact, even if an item is not listed on the menu, chances are they can cook it. The LCI motto is "If you dream it, we will create it"

Cutolo has been cooking since he was 17, getting his start in a NYC restaurant where he used to be the busboy. After mastering the intricacies of Italian cooking, he was ready to start his own catering business, which he did in 1999. LCI catering serves all kinds of events, from weddings and backyard barbecues to corporate events and fundraisers.LCI is a one-stop shop for clients, which sets it apart from other caterers.

"We can cater many different foods of all nationalities eliminating the need for several caterers for an event," Cutolo said. "We can do the highest-end party supplying all rentals, such as tents, food, staff, etc. And on the other hand we do corporate lunches, lower-end catering such as drop-off service, sandwich platters. Basically there's nothing we can't do."

Cutolo's passion and flair for food are reflected in the events he caters. The food is beautifully presented, the chef and his staff are professional and high energy, and everyone has a good time.
