Catwalk Fitness is Hot Pink and Here to Improve

By Elisha Neubauer

For Cathy Wagner, life has always been about fitness. Starting in gymnastics at a young age, Wagner won several medals during her time competing. As an adult, she sought to find a new, exciting way to keep physically active.

That was when Wagner discovered pole dancing as a means of workout. The high energy, exciting, always fresh and new activity gave her the outlets she was looking for. It has been 13 years since Wagner brought the fitness routine to Long Island. Word spread quickly, and Wagner found herself swamped with pole dancing parties and gigs at multiple studios.

Ten years after joining the industry, Wagner was introduced to a new form of fitness: the Lagree Method. The form was an instant match to her personality. It was a stepping stone to a larger project, the launching of her own studio.

Now, Wagner toils away in her very own studio filled with music, mirrors, the M3 Megaformer machine, and lots of hot pink.

"If I could describe the atmosphere of my classes in just one word it would be superfreakingexhilarating," Wagner said. "Truly. There is a positive vibe and an incredible energy that exists inside my studio."

Clients often cite having an experience like none other. The studio emits a feeling of community where clients support, motivate, and encourage each other. When you enter a Catwalk Fitness class, you enter a room full of personal cheerleaders, as everyone aims to help each other along on their fitness journeys. Clients become friends and we are all one big happy fit family.

"My wish would be for everyone, including teens to experience the energy of my studio," Wagner said. "The clients, their children, their love and support is beyond anything I could possibly describe."

Wagner claims the Lagree Method she teaches in her classes is exceptionally addicting as it shows results quickly. Clients have seen dropped dress sizes virtually immediately, along with increased tightness, improved sports abilities, and an overall enhancement in their well-being.

"Get into a rhythm and ride with it," Wagner said. "Find a studio that has a good vibe. Connect with an Instructor who motivates you."
